The Dashboard is your home in Kasava, providing a focused view of what needs your attention, recent product updates, and quick access to insights across your connected platforms.
Accessing the Dashboard
Navigate to the Dashboard by clicking “Dashboard” in the sidebar or visiting /dashboard directly after logging in.
Layout Overview
The Dashboard uses a clean, focused single-column layout designed for at-a-glance visibility:
- Header Metrics - Key numbers displayed in the top navigation bar
- Recent Updates - Latest product digest summaries
- My Work - Tasks and items requiring your attention
- Detail Panel - Contextual information when you select an item
The header displays clickable metric cards showing key numbers across your workspace:

Insights Dropdown
Click the Insights metric to reveal a dropdown with:
- Wins - Recent accomplishments from your products
- Risks - Identified risks and blockers
- Goals at Risk - Goals that may not meet their deadlines
Clicking any insight type opens a preview sheet with details.
Metrics with zero values are automatically hidden to keep the display clean and focused on actionable items.
Recent Updates Panel
The Recent Updates panel displays AI-generated digest summaries from your products. This collapsible section shows:
- Product name and icon
- Time period covered (e.g., “Last 7 days”)
- Accomplishment count (green checkmark)
- Risk count (yellow/red warning icon)
- When the digest was generated
Viewing Update Details
Click on any update row or the “View” button to open the full digest dialog. The dialog includes:
- Executive Summary - AI-generated overview of the period
- Metrics - Counts of commits, PRs, issues, and bugs fixed (clickable for details)
- Accomplishments - Completed work with expandable source references
- Risks & Blockers - Issues requiring attention with severity levels
- Upcoming Milestones - Scheduled deadlines and releases
Update Actions
From the digest dialog, you can:
- Copy - Copy the update as formatted text
- Download - Save as a text file
- Email - Open in your email client
- Share to Slack - Share directly to Slack (coming soon)
- Add to Plan - Append to a product requirements document (coming soon)
- Publish - Create a shareable public URL
My Work Panel
The My Work panel displays items that need your attention, aggregated from all connected platforms. This is your personal task list within Kasava.
Work Item Types
Items can include:
- GitHub issues assigned to you
- Pull requests you need to review
- Bug reports awaiting triage
- Custom tasks you’ve added
Work Item Features
Each item shows:
- Priority indicator - Color-coded dot (critical, high, medium, low)
- Title - Brief description of the item
- Type badge - Source platform or item type
- Time - When the item was created or last updated
Managing Work Items
Click any item to open the detail panel on the right side of the screen. From there, you can:
- View full details and context
- Complete - Mark as done
- Dismiss - Remove from your list
- Snooze - Hide temporarily (4 hours, tomorrow, next week, or custom date)
- Reopen - Restore a completed item
Right-click on an item for quick actions via context menu.
Adding Custom Items
Click the “Add item” row at the bottom of the panel to create a personal task:
- Type your task description
- Press Enter or click the add button
- The item appears in your work list
Filtering and Expanding
- Show completed - Toggle the checkbox to include or hide completed items
- Show more/less - Expand to see all items or collapse to show top 5
Detail Panel
When you select a work item, a detail panel slides in from the right showing:
- Full item title and description
- Source information (repository, platform)
- Creation date and last update
- Action buttons for managing the item
- Link to view the item in its original platform
Keyboard Shortcuts
The Dashboard supports keyboard navigation for power users:

GitHub App Banner
If your organization hasn’t installed the GitHub App yet, a banner appears at the top of the Dashboard prompting you to complete the setup. Installing the GitHub App enables:
- Automatic repository synchronization
- Real-time webhook updates
- Access to issues and pull requests
Start your day on the Dashboard - Review your work items and recent updates before diving into specific products or repositories.
Use the detail panel - Handle quick reviews and updates without navigating away from the Dashboard.
