Kasava uses Organizations to help your team collaborate on projects, repositories, and documentation.

Accessing Organization Settings

To manage your organization:
  1. Click your avatar in the sidebar
  2. Select Settings
  3. Click Organization in the left navigation

Organization Overview

Your Kasava organization is where your team collaborates on:
  • Connected GitHub repositories
  • AI-powered code analysis
  • Plans (Product Requirements Documents)
  • Bug reports and tracking
  • Documentation and workflows

Organization Details

Update your organization’s basic information:

Member Roles

Kasava supports three member roles with different permission levels:

*Admins can change roles between Admin and Member only.

Viewing Members

The Members section shows all organization members and pending invitations in a table view:

Inviting Members

To invite new members to your organization:

Open Organization Settings

Navigate to Settings > Organization

Click Invite

Click the “Invite” button in the Members section header

Enter Email

Enter the email address of the person you want to invite

Select Role

Choose either “Member” or “Admin” role

Send Invitation

Click “Send Invitation”

Invitations expire after 7 days. The invited user must have a Kasava account with the same email address to accept the invitation.

Managing Pending Invitations

For pending invitations, you can:
  • Resend - Click the refresh icon to send a new invitation email
  • Cancel - Click the X icon to cancel the invitation

Changing Member Roles

Owners can change any member’s role. Admins can change roles between Admin and Member.

Find the Member

Locate the member in the Members table

Open Actions Menu

Click the three-dot menu on the right

Select New Role

Choose “Change to Admin” or “Change to Member”
The organization Owner role cannot be changed. To change ownership, see “Transferring Ownership” below.

Removing Members

To remove a member from your organization:

Find the Member

Locate the member in the Members table

Open Actions Menu

Click the three-dot menu on the right

Click Remove

Select “Remove from organization”

Confirm

Confirm the removal in the dialog
Removing a member immediately revokes their access to all organization resources. This action cannot be undone - they will need a new invitation to rejoin.

Leaving an Organization

If you’re not the owner, you can leave an organization:

Find Your Entry

Locate yourself in the Members table (marked with “(You)”)

Open Actions Menu

Click the three-dot menu

Click Leave

Select “Leave Organization”

Confirm

Confirm that you want to leave
If you’re the organization Owner, you must transfer ownership before leaving.

Transferring Ownership

Organization owners can transfer ownership to another member:

Find Your Entry

Locate yourself (the owner) in the Members table

Open Actions Menu

Click the three-dot menu

Click Transfer

Select “Transfer Ownership & Leave”

Select New Owner

Choose the member who will become the new owner

Confirm Transfer

Confirm the ownership transfer
Transferring ownership gives the new owner full control including billing management and the ability to delete the organization.

Usage Statistics

The Organization settings page displays your current resource usage:

Progress bars show usage percentage with color indicators:
  • Green - Normal usage (under 80%)
  • Yellow - Warning (80-89%)
  • Orange - Critical (90-99%)
  • Red - At or over limit

Click “Upgrade” to increase your limits on the Billing page.

Switching Organizations

If you belong to multiple organizations:

Click Your Avatar

Click your avatar in the sidebar

Hover on Switch Organization

Hover over “Switch Organization” in the dropdown

Select Organization

Click the organization you want to switch to
A checkmark indicates your currently active organization.

Deleting an Organization

Organization deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. All data including repositories, Plans, documents, and member associations will be lost.
Only organization Owners can delete an organization:

Go to Organization Settings

Navigate to Settings > Organization

Find Danger Zone

Scroll to the “Danger Zone” section at the bottom

Click Delete

Click the “Delete” button

Confirm

Type the organization name and confirm deletion
Delete organization dialog with confirmation Before deleting:
  • Download any data you need to keep
  • Remove integrations you want to preserve
  • Inform team members of the deletion

Troubleshooting

Ask the recipient to check their spam folder. Verify the email address is correct. You can resend the invitation from the Members table.
Only Owners and Admins can change roles. Admins cannot change the Owner’s role or promote others to Owner. Only the Owner can transfer ownership.
Only Owners and Admins can remove members. You cannot remove the organization Owner - they must transfer ownership first.
The member count updates when the invitation is accepted, not when it’s sent. Pending invitations don’t count toward your member total.
